CITIZENS OF HUMANITY FOUNDER RELEASES JEAN ATELIER

Jerome Dahan might relatively be called the king of jeans. Not only is he the developer behind Citizens of Humanity, yet also prior to that he co-founded the brand that began the developer jeans trend in the ’90s: 7 for All Mankind. Much more recently, he established Agolde. Returning 30 years, he was involved in the denim sector with his father as a teen and there are few in any type of misses on his denim resume.

The Paris born, Montreal-bred designer has called Los Angeles home for decades now, and also he has launched one more brand-new brand: Jean Atelier. This is his most premium effort yet– prices range from $425 for troubled jeans to $1875 for a silk bombing plane jacket. The brand doesn’t yet have its very own website, and also is readily available solely at Barneys New York and also Forward by Elyse Pedestrian,

And while the rates may be steep, several of the designs have me truly thrilled. Initially, the seamed vest/bellbottom combo above is virtually a replica of my favorite outfit in third grade (proof below, minus vest). Second, there’s a “wedding celebration skirt” (see above). That’s all I truly need to recognize!

Find out more, including an interview with Dahan, over at the Hollywood Reporter.
