Apple CEO Kicks Off ‘Let us loop You In’ Event, here Are The Highlights From opening Keynote

At the town Hall seminar center inside Apple’s campus in Cupertino, CEO Tim cook has taken to stage to kick off Apple’s spring 2016 media event titled ‘Let us loop you in’.

As is usually the case, Tim cook started the keynote by first giving some updates on the business as well as some of its products’ performance over the last several months.

Here are some of the biggest highlights from Tim Cook’s opening speech:

More than 1 billion Apple devices in active use worldwide now.

Tim briefly addressed encryption as well as privacy issue in light of Apple’s ongoing battle with FBI. “We need to choose as a nation how much power the government should have over our data as well as over our privacy.” Tim cleared once once again that Apple won’t bow-down to government’s demand of building backdoor to iPhone.

Environment as well as what Apple is doing for renewable energy, reuse as well as recycling of Apple products.

Updates on health as well as ResearchKit.

Announced CareKit: A framework to develop apps to help people take care of themselves. The first app using CareKit is for Parkinson’s disease.

CareKit, like ResearchKit, will be open source. will be offered in April.
